Portuguese artist Bela Silva, who divides her time between Brussels and Lisbon, brings a contemporary baroque aesthetic to her unique, exuberant and narrative ceramic sculptures and paintings. Drawing on an eclectic range of influences from her travels, art history and archaeology, she adorns her vessels and creations with bold organic forms, bizarre animals or robust interpretations of classical decorative motifs. One new large painting Endless Line and three new glazed stoneware sculptures are on display at PAD: A La Playa, Erizos de Mar and Naturaleza.
