Spazio Nobile presents “Anima” Group Exhibition at Luxembourg Art Week
Featuring Jörg Bräuer (DE), Éva Garcia (FR), Kaspar Hamacher (BE), Garnier & Linker (FR), Pao Hui Kao (TW), Amy Hilton (UK), Katherine Huskie (UK), Bela Silva (PT), Ann Beate Tempelhaug (NO), Fabian von Spreckelsen (DE), Frederik Vercruysse (BE) & Vera Vermeersch (BE)
In this presentation “Anima” (From the Soul), Spazio Nobile highlights the singularity and excellence of a selection of the gallery’s artists, using media such as paper, textile, metal, burnt wood, glass and ceramics, each treated in an original and subtle way. The artistic language of the exhibition is marked by the materiality and the strength of the soul, bridging contemporary applied arts and fine arts: painting and sculpture. Each of the creations presented echo each other and transform our perception of the surrounding world through visual tactility, inviting us on a journey that gives voice and breath to life while defying the ephemeral. Body and soul are thus united. The cosmic lightness of the floating world of artists Éva Garcia (“Homme”, “Rocher”), Amy Hilton (“Paysage-Sentiment”, “Subtle Stones”), Pao Hui Kao (“Paper Pleats”, “Lacquer Leaf”) – finaliste du Loewe Craft Prize en 2022 – and Ann Beate Tempelhaug (“Ultra”), as well as the aquatic world of glass creations: Garnier & Linker’s “Diatomée”, Katherine Huskie’s “Echinus” and “Ostreum” contrast with the earthy world of Bela Silva’s gouache painting and glazed stoneware sculptures. In this flow of soul mates, the large tapestry in tufted wool and gold silk thread “L’Odore del sole, le voci lontane” by Vera Vermeersch, the monoxylean “Méridienne” carved with fire by Kaspar Hamacher, the altarpiece of collodion plates “Aigua Xelida R 1, Der Sinn der Zeit” by Jörg Bräuer and the wall installation “The Soul Portrait” in crystallized steel by Fabian von Spreckelsen create a world of large, abstract inner landscapes that are sketched out before our eyes and sublimate both earthly and heavenly emotions.

Spazio Nobile met en avant dans cette présentation « Anima » (De L’Âme), la singularité et l’excellence d’une sélection d’artistes de la galerie, mettant en œuvre des médias tels le papier, le textile, le métal, le bois brûlé, le verre et la céramique, traités par chacun de manière originale et subtile. Fil rouge de l’exposition, le langage artistique est marqué par la matérialité et la force de l’âme qui font le pont entre les arts appliqués contemporains et les beaux-arts: la peinture et la sculpture. Chacune des créations présentées font écho les unes aux autres et transforment par la tactilité visuelle notre perception du monde environnant pour nous inviter à un voyage qui donne à la fois parole et souffle à la vie tout en défiant l’éphémère. Corps et âme sont ainsi solidaires. La légèreté cosmique du monde flottant des créatrices Éva Garcia (« Homme », « Rocher »), Amy Hilton (« Paysage-Sentiment », « Subtle Stones »), Pao Hui Kao (« Paper Pleats », « Lacquer Leaf ») – finaliste du Loewe Craft Prize en 2022 – et Ann Beate Tempelhaug (« Ultra »), ainsi que l’univers aquatique des créations en verre : les « Diatomées » de Garnier & Linker, les « Echinus » et « Ostreum » de Katherine Huskie contrastent avec le monde tellurique des gouaches et grès émaillés de Bela Silva. Dans ce flux d’âmes sœurs, la grande tapisserie en laine tuftée et fil de soie d’or « L’Odore del sole, le voci lontane » de Vera Vermeersch, la « Méridienne » monoxyle sculptée avec le feu de Kaspar Hamacher, le retable de plaques au collodion « Aigua Xelida R 1, Der Sinn der Zeit » de Jörg Bräuer et l’installation murale « The Soul Portrait » en acier cristallisé de Fabian von Spreckelsen créent un univers de grands paysages intérieurs et abstraits qui s’esquissent ainsi sous nos yeux et subliment les émotions à la fois terrestres et célestes.
