Protea symbiota, a flower endemic to [Velmara-7], provides a shelter for microorganisms that colonize its curled petals, protected from silica-laden winds. In return, these microorganisms capture and release essential nutrients directly absorbed by the plant. This symbiotic relationship, known as endosymbiosis, optimizes their mutual survival in an extreme environment.

The art print photographs from Flora Incognita are Chromogenic print on Ilfoflex prestige paper, mounted on Dibond with oak shadow box framing, museum glass, and engraved brass plate.

They are available in the limited edition of 10 + 2 Artist’s proofs all for mats combined: 40×55–90×65–140×100cm/15,75×21.65–35,43×25,59–55.11×39.37in.
