Berta Riera Pomés was born in Barcelona in 1977. She graduated in Sculpture (2001) at the Universitat de Barcelona in Spain and in Product Design (2009) at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Karlsruhe. She sees the influence of nature on her work as a process of transformation as well as a source of materials. The uniqueness of every piece is the result of the conditions present at the actual moment of creation.
