French Lise Coirier has lived and worked in Brussels for over thirty years. A cultural entrepreneur and visionary, she founded the consultancy agency Pro Materia in the early 2000s, initiating and producing large-scale creative projects from the ground up. In 2008, she launched TLmag – True Living of Art & Design, an international annual print and digital magazine dedicated to the intersections of contemporary culture, fine art, author-driven design, and fine craftsmanship.
As an exhibition curator and author, Coirier has spearheaded major European initiatives, including Human Cities and Glass is Tomorrow. She has authored and published numerous seminal books, such as Le Guide des Métiers d’art à Bruxelles et environs (1998–2000), Design in Belgium – 1945-2000 (Éd. Racine, 2002), Label-Design.be (Éd. Stichting Kunstboek, 2005), and Glass is Tomorrow (Archibooks, 2015), along with monographs on acclaimed figures including Xavier Lust (2008), Anne Derasse (2014), and most recently Bela Silva (co-published with Flammarion, 2026).
In 2016, she co-founded Spazio Nobile in Brussels alongside her partner and husband, Gian Giuseppe Simeone. Specializing in contemporary applied and fine arts, the gallery champions both emerging and established talent, fostering a continuous dialogue between East and West.
