There are and have been hundreds of publications and media programs entitled ‘ideal home’.  What does this expression really mean and where does it come from? TLmag40 will explore this them of ‘the ideal house’ through the eyes and minds of leading academics, curators, artists, designers, architects and writers. It will question the meaning and intention of the expression and how it applies to contemporary culture. Is it a design or architecture question? A sustainability question? Or is it about the people who make it ‘ideal’? TLmag40 will also look back at historical ‘ideal homes’ and how it defined specific eras of our time and how it might do so for the future.
