Brooklyn meets Los Angeles in the West Elm x Commune collection, a bicoastal collaboration between two major players in contemporary American design.
This summer sees the debut of a new limited-edition collection by Commune for West Elm, bringing the Los Angeles-based design studio’s signature aesthetic to the savvy audience of the Brooklyn-based retailer. From furnishings to textiles to home accessories, the West Elm x Commune collection marks a bicoastal collaboration between two major players in contemporary American design.
Since Commune was founded in 2004, multidisciplinary design studio has quickly established itself with its eclectic approach to architecture and interiors, as well as products and branding. West Elm, for its part, launched in 2002 to bring the Mid-Century Modern ethos into the new millennium with a strong commitment to craft and materials. Together, the two companies have created a thoughtful collection of over 50 pieces that embody the timeless versatility of Southern California chic.
