Claude Saos was born in Brest in 1972, and lives and works in Strasbourg. Graduating from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Quimper in photography, after attending the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Brest and the Utrecht HKU (Netherlands) in the design section, he spent a decade developing his photographic research, and also works for various contemporary art centres and photographic libraries. In 2007, he founded his own design studio, where he has developed furniture for collectives for Inducom, and creates sets.
In 2013, he worked with Thierry Boltz on a wooden-frame bike project called WOOD.b. A member of IDeE (the association of designers in the East of France) since 2007, he was president from 2013 to 2017. He has also been teaching at two schools of applied arts since 2011.
